 Hours: Various shifts available - 08:00-16:00, 16:00-22:00, Sleep-ins 

We're looking for a compassionate Female Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to a service user in her own home, fostering independence and facilitating community engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Personalised Support: Assist with daily living skills to promote independence.
• Community Access: Accompany to activities, outings, and appointments.
• Daily Living Assistance: Support with personal care, meal preparation, and medication.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with the service user, family, and support team.
• Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of care provided and any changes in needs.
• Safety: Promote a safe environment, addressing potential risks.

Requirements:

We're hiring Support Workers for a residential children's home that caters for young people who may have needs associated with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and may have experienced loss, trauma and abuse.

Specifically working with a broad range of complex needs, which include:

• Social and emotional difficulties
• Attachment Disorder
• Criminal exploitation
• Child sexual exploitation
• Substance misuse

We're looking for candidates who are compassionate and dedicated, regardless of their professional background. Personal experience supporting children and young people with similar needs is highly valued.

As a Support Worker, your main role will be to provide 2:1 support to children and young people within the home. This involves implementing individual plans, supporting social, educational, and emotional development, and collaborating effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students to develop social relationships within the house.
• Assisting students in developing independence in life skills.
• Encouraging participation in education and recreational activities.
• Contributing to students' general well-being, health, safety, and security.
• Maintaining accurate records and assisting with assessments and reports.
